Air fryer salmon bites are a quick, healthy, and delicious way to nutritious seafood. They’re perfect for appetizers, topping for salads, and main courses. The air fryer cooks the salmon to perfection, locking in moisture and flavor while creating a crispy exterior. All in all, a much healthier alternative to deep-frying.
Which Salmon to Use?
For salmon bites, look for fresh or frozen salmon fillets with a good fat content. Avoid dry or overly lean salmon as it can become tough when cooked. We recommend sockeye, king, or coho salmon.
What you need
● 1 lb. salmon fillet
● 2 tbsp Olive oil
● 2 tbsp Lemon juice
● 1 tsp Garlic powder
● 1 tsp Onion powder
● 1 tsp Paprika
● 1 tsp Salt
● ½ tsp Black pepper
How to Prepare
1. Slice the fillet into bite-sized cubes.
2. Mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
3. Add the salmon cubes to the bowl. Coat each cube evenly in the mixture.
4. Place the salmon bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket, which is preheated to (200°C). Make sure they are evenly placed.
5. Air fry the fillet cubes until the salmon is cooked through. This will take around 8-10 minutes. Shake the basket halfway for even browning.
6. You can check if the cubes are cooked well with a fork. If they flake easily, they are done.
The salmon bites are ready to serve. You can pair them with your favorite dipping sauce, such as tartar sauce, aioli, or sweet chili sauce. If you are serving as a side dish, air-fried salmon pieces go well with roasted vegetables and brown rice. Store leftovers in an airtight container in their refrigerator for up to two days. Happy cooking!
