Do you love scallop’s?
Below is an easy recipe that allows you to make a bay scallop chowder at home-
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp peas (frozen)
- 1 cup whipping cream (heavy)
- 1 tablespoon parsley (chopped)
- 12 scallops (large)
- 3 tbsp of olive (oil extra light)
- 3 slices of cooked bacon (large, cut into ½ pieces)
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp paprika
- Salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon butter
-
Instructions:
- Add butter and bacon slices to a container and cook over medium for around 60 seconds.
- Add the peas. Add onion power, garlic powder, paprika, seasonings and the whipped cream. Mix well, and keep cooking for 5 minutes.
- Lower heat and cook for a few more minutes.
- Brush the scallops with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and flavor with salt and pepper.
- Meanwhile, place a huge cast-iron skillet over medium heat until hot.
- Cook the scallops for around 2 – 3 minutes for every side. Next, put on a dish and side aside to avoid overcooking
- Just before you serve, turn off the heat, and add some parmesan cheddar to the sauce and mix well.
- To serve, place the sauce on the plate and top with the scallops
- light, neutral oil with a high smoke point should do the trick. You’re going to have to get the pan screaming hot before you add the scallops. If you cook with extra virgin olive oil, it will smoke immediately. Instead, reach for grapeseed oil, canola oil, or vegetable
