Bobby Flay’s Bar American

Mohegan Sun Casino

It’s been a while since Bobby Flay bought its famous Bar American to Mohegan Sun Casino, located off the hotel lobby. The place is famous for presenting a theme and menu that pays homage to the travels of Bobby throughout the US, and thus offering a diverse cultural heritage.

Seafood lovers will appreciate the Raw Bar that offers everything from shrimp cocktails to shellfish platters. But it’s not just shrimp and crab.

Steak aficionados can also relish a fine selection of hand-picked steaks served with Bobby’s signature Steak Sauce. These steaks are without a doubt the finest beef you’ll taste throughout New England. Completing the regional American menu is a host of appetizers, entrees and side dishes.

Now a word about the environment.
The Bar
features a French-style ‘brasserie’ environment perfect for seated dining and cocktail receptions. You can also get a semi-private dining room that can accommodate more than 30 people. And in the main dining room, you can easily fit groups of up to 40 guests.

Overall, there is seating space for 220 people in a spacious area built around the marble-encased bar. Wheelchair access is available.

The staff is courteous, professional and can be seen efficiently serving visitors from the gambling halls as well as Bobby Flay fans from around the neighborhood.

There are 16 seats at the bar top.
The bar
serves as an extension of the place as there is no happy hour and is for full-menu dining only. Not to mention the bar closes just 30 minutes after the restaurant.

If you’re planning to visit the
Bar American,
try their Shellfish cocktail trio and Bibb salad with poached egg. You can also enjoy BBQ duck with johnny cakes. Last but not least, porterhouse lamb chops and rib-eye steak are also excellent choices in case you’re not in the mood for seafood.
