Low Cost is Possible
Here are a few great spots
Dining out on Hilton Head is an unexpected treasure of opportunity.
Many resort communities offer a wealth of high-end choices and a select number of particularly low-cost options. Hilton Head Island has delightfully abundant mid-range dining establishments.
You have the day time treats like Main Street Café and Pub – it has offerings for families and also is a bit of a social scene without breaking the bank.
There are also loads of options for evenings out…whether you are with your family or a group of friends or even a romantic getaway….you can find fantastic seafood and even some pretty great non-seafood options (WHAT?! Why?!). Dining (and dare I say wining) options abound and I’ll just quickly name a few:
A Low Country Backyard – As its name indicates – this is low country cuisine – with a back-yard spin. You can order delicious seafood with grits, fabulous uber-rich desserts, and more.
Sea Shack – yes, this has the feeling you are in a shack-type eatery but the food is first-class! This is a very popular spot – I’d recommend going for lunch. True to loads of southern flare….fried anything is pretty fabulous!
Dry Dock – another hole-in-the-wall type spot. It is great food at a great price to flavor!
There are loads of great places to find delicious seafood at good prices. Clearly, I like those that are a little off the beaten path and have a style all their own. The places I’ve mentioned here are just a tiny sampling – if you are heading to Hilton Head – please come back and share your finds, or what you thought of mine!
