Fish Tacos in SoCal

Five of the best

Opening on Mission Drive in 1983, the fish taco craze was started by Rubio’s. The owner, Ralph Rubio was inspired by the fish tacos he had in San Felipe while on Spring Break and vowed to bring them to SoCal. Made with stone ground corn tortilla, lightly battered, wild caught Alaskan pollock, and topped with Rubio’s white sauce, these fish tacos will melt in your mouth. Don’t shy away just because they are a chain, as Rubio has dedicated his operation to providing fresh, sustainable ingredients on his menu. Check out one of their many locations in SoCal or across the country.
