How to Find a PWC for Touring

Ocean WaveRunners are also called Personal Watercrafts (PWCs) and they are available in all sorts of makes and models. However, you need to make a choice depending on your needs, skill-level, and of course, budget.

Budget is a major consideration, since we are talking about long-distance touring here. There are plenty of economic WaveRunners out there, but they are not meant for touring. These models are great for hours of casual fun and shorter rides, but if you need more power and acceleration with greater handling, you need to dish out more money.

A great idea is to go for a 3-seater PWC. Not only is it longer and more stable, but it also offers a lot of comfort. The seats are softer and there is plenty of leg space as well. This allows more people to go on the tour, and even if you are going alone, the extra space can be used for keeping gear.

Next, you need to choose a hull. The smoothness of your ride depends on how well your hull handles water. If you are just starting out, go for a touring hull as it is stable and allows consistent handling. It is also fuel-efficient as well. If you are experience though, you can choose a high-performance hull as well.

Finally, you need to choose the suspension. While the hull helps you navigate the waters, good suspension will make the ride even smoother and enable you to control your ride better in rough waters. Suspension is also good if you are going to take a passenger or two along.

It goes without saying that since you are going the distance, you need a PWC with a large fuel tank and storage. There are other factors to consider as well, but I think we have covered the most important ones here. Good luck on your long-distance tour!
