Eat Seafood Like Crazy

When In Georgia That Is!

Fried shrimp, fried Calamari, Oysters And More
Staples for Georgia Cuisine Lovers

We here at Delicious Catch love eating seafood, cooking seafood and going to great seafood restaurants. There’s nothing better than enjoying a steaming plate of catfish and shrimp or chowing down on some good old raw or fried oysters after a long day at work. As we aim to please people who are looking for great seafood everywhere, here are a few specialty dishes from the good old state of Georgia:

Georgia Shrimp

Shrimp is a classic when it comes to seafood. Breaded and dipped in cocktail sauce, grilled with butter on the side or deep fried and
throw in a basket, whichever way you like to eat them, shrimp is a seafood specialty that everybody loves. There’s nothing that screams good seafood more than a pound of shrimp.

Georgia Calamari
As we all know, Fried Calamari is squid that is taken from the ocean, fried in batter for a couple of minutes and then served with cocktail or tartar sauce, spicy marinara sauce, seasoned with pepper and sometimes topped with Parmesan cheese. Many people enjoy eating this as an appet izer or sometimes in a basket of their favorite seafood such as catfish and lobster.

Georgia Oysters

And lastly, we have oysters. These can be eaten raw or fried; it just depends on your preference. These are considered to be a delicacy and are, according to Wikipedia, most nutritious when eaten raw. Oysters happen to actually be good for you as well as they contain, iron, and calcium. They are also said to be an aphrodisiac that affects the sexual hormones of women and can increase their libido. Oysters are very popular, with people eating one to a hundred.

These are just a few of the seafood specialty dishes that Georgia has to offer. For all the seafood lovers out there, head over to Georgia to get your eat on!
