Great Hawaiian Island Food

Good Food, Great Places

Going hungry is not an option on the top islands of Hawaii

Oahu Island in Hawaii is just about exotic beaches, activities to leave you pumped up and probably hungry. And to provide you with plenty of energy and nutrition for your happy adventures traipsing through this highly popular island, you will simply be inundated with places to unwind; eating and drinking oases. Ohau Island hospitality knows that the way to bring people back is to give them delectable foods that they can’t resist. There’s Liliha Bakery – –Yelp for instance, that has cocoa puffs that put this island on the map! Their butter rolls which are grilled, are served with pink-like jelly that only Ohau can offer. There just are too many iconic places to choose from. For prawns and shrimps, for real Hawaiian foods or shaved ice, these are what you can find there.

On Maui, you would have to try the inexpensive noodles that you get at one of the restaurants called Sam Sato’s– – Yelp. You can’t go away from this island without trying their breakfasts or lunches; plenty of noodle bowls to choose from or sandwiches and hamburgers, all withhis unique seasonings.

Kauai has plenty of fabulous restaurants for real adventures in the culinary arena. You will find Poke at many delis and restaurants; a real local favorite, getting you right into Hawaiian cultural delights. (You pronounce it like this: po-kay). It’s made up of raw cubed fish with seasonings.

On Big Island, an exotic haven for interesting and unique foods, you won’t be able to turn down the chance of tucking into a specialty, malasadas. Malasadas might not be the healthiest food on the block, but they are too delicious not to sample, like a donut full of creamy milk, eggs, butter, fried up and rolled in sugar. Often they are filled with delectable fillings such as custard or delicious coconut haupia pudding. What is special about them is that the dough is made from fresh cream or milk. If you want something more savory, then fish or scrumptious hot dogs will give you that burst of flavor and energy to tackle the next activity on the island. Find these at many top restaurants, buzzing with vibe and fun.

But really, all the above are just samples of the many fabulous foods and drink places that abound on these islands – they just make you hungry for more.
