Easy 5-minute Recipe

Love clams? Who doesn’t!
The best thing about clams is that they not only taste good, but they are easy to prepare as well. In fact, you can even cook them easily and quickly on your grill. Here’s a simple way to grill your clams.

#1 Heat the Grill
Begin by setting the heat on your gas grill to medium. If you’re going with charcoal, light it up and let it burn (but avoid high flames).

#2 Clean Em’ Up
While the grill is set to preheat, the next step is to clean the clams. This is true for both freshly caught clams and ones you buy from the market. Place the clams under running and scrub away the smallest traces of sand.

#3 Start Grilling
Once they are clean and dry, place the clams directly on the grill. Cover the grill and allow the clams to cook in direct heat.
#4 Discard the Opened Clams

Continue cooking the covered clams on the grates for about 5-7 minutes. Then lift the cover to check if any of them have opened. Discard these clams carefully with tongs.

#5 Serve
The clams will be ready to eat in a few minutes. If you fancy some sauces, you make some yourself at home. All you need is garlic, butter, and white wine. When it comes to seafood, nothing pairs as good as white wine which adds sweetness to the clams.

Move down to
Combine the ingredients according to your taste preferences and bring them to a boil over medium heat.

Continue to cook for 5-10 minutes, and then turn off the heat. Once prepared, pour the sauce on the clams and enjoy your grilled seafood. You can add a squeeze of lemon if so desired.
