Get Away from the Everyday Monotony of Life:
Beaches, Attractions and Dining in Key West
Work got you stressed out? Family driving you out of your mind? Need a vacation? Look no further than Key West for some fun in the sun, relaxation and good eats. I don’t know about you, but I love the beach. Sand in my toes, sun on my face, there’s nothing better. And with so many different beaches to choose from, they have something for everyone.
South Beach is one of the local hangouts with shallow waters and a concrete pier. There’s also Higg’s Beach, which offers not only a great place to windsurf or parasail, but if you’re hungry afterwards, they have a restaurant and picnic tables as well. They even have a beach for my dog so I don’t have to leave him home alone. Relaxation isn’t the only thing they offer – Key West also offers many attractions that cater to couples and families. Whenever I take a vacation, I love to see what type of attractions the place has to offer.
I’m a big nature lover, so I would visit the Key West Botanical Gardens,The Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory and maybe take a bike tour. I also love water, so I would take a glass bottom boat cruise or try my hand at some snorkeling. There are museums, art galleries, kayaking – a little bit of something for everyone.
Key West offers a variety of restaurants ranging from fine dining such as La Trattoria, offering fine Italian cuisine and a romantic atmosphere, to Sarabeth’s, located in the heart of Old Town, which is a bit more casual and offers American cuisine that’s suitable for the whole family. And if I wanted to grab a quick bite and a good drink, Island Dogs Bar is the place to be!
We all need some time to just get away and unwind; where better to do that than in Key West?
Is the food in Key West really as fresh and delicious as it seems..or would anything taste wonderful in such a festive atmosphere!
