Martha’s Vineyard-Great Spots

Text in Blue is Clickable

Martha’s Vineyard has a country-wide reputation for excellence in terms of a vacation spot and also for dining. If you are travelling to Martha’s Vineyard, you’ll probably have a very hard time figuring out what to do first. Here are a few recommended attractions to help you get started on your trip.

South Beach

Although South Beach might have the same name as the infamous Miami destination, South Beach in Martha’s Vineyard also has a lot to offer. It can be considered as one of the cleanest beaches in the area and is pristine and undisturbed. You can also learn more about items that have been found on the beach by visiting the entrance area.

Gay Head Cliffs

The Gay Head Cliffs are a natural feature of Martha’s Vineyard that you won’t want to miss. Personally, I think that they reflect the local beauty of Martha’s Vineyard with the brightly-colored cliffs. The area has been designated as an historical site which means that you can not take any of the clay from the cliffs or climb on them. However, they are great to look at!

Edgartown Lighthouse

If you love lighthouses, you will enjoy visiting Edgartown Harbor to view the lighthouse that features the name of the town. The lighthouse is open to the public throughout the summer and fall months. Here you can learn about the history of the island.

Chartered Boats

Martha’s Vineyard is on the ocean so it is only fitting that you get a chartered boat or rent a boat in order to experience it. Use the boat to take in some sights on the ocean or go fishing.

Vacationing in Martha’s Vineyard means that you will have a lot of options as to what you’d like to do. If you want my recommendation, Martha’s Vineyard is best experienced on the water or by eating at one of the top restaurants there.
