His boat holds up to 6 people, so his prices are a bit higher than the larger boats, but the personalized service is totally worth it.

Founded in 1936, family owned and operated Viking Fleet Charters has grown over the years, expanding to three locations, including Montauk of course. Captain and owner Paul Forsberg had his first boat in Montauk when he was just 12 years old. He runs the three locations with his son and two grandsons, all of whom apparently have fishing in their blood. The prices are great, starting at $50 for a half day and going up, depending on length and distance of the trip. You can’t get much more experienced than these guys, and the success they have had over the last 80 years speaks for itself.
