Anthony's Pier 4

New At Pier 4 Boston

Anthony’s Pier 4 is No More

Pier 4 is now Apartments and Farm to Table

Anthony’s Pier 4 was one of the most beloved spots in Boston until it was demolished a couple of years back. However, there’s a new and upcoming restaurant that will rise in the iconic spot of Anthony’s Pier 4.

Pier 4

Appropriately, the new building that will rise in the spot is named
Pier 4. It will be a nine-storey residential building where a proposed farm-to-table restaurant will find its new home.

The restaurant is unnamed as of now but it is believed to debut in 2019. This is the concept of Kristin Canty, Concord’s Woods Hill Table and Farm at Woods Hill proprietor. Basically, the ingredients will be sourced from a sister farm or attached market. Customers can choose the ingredients and it will be cooked for them and served at their table.

The restaurant is reported to have a 140-seating capacity which includes a raw bar and a 40-seat patio that overlooks the water.

The best part is Canty is hoping to decorate the place with Anthony’s trinkets from back when the beloved place stood.

Fish Market?

Since it’M a farm-to-table concept, it raises the question of whether the new spot will have an attached fish market where customers could choose their seafood to bring home or to be served. However, there aren’t really any other information regarding Pier 4 apart from the concept and its homage to the classic Anthony’s Pier 4.

Nonetheless, it’s not impossible. Massachusetts is filled with seafood restaurant/seafood marketplaces where the latter is attached to the former (and vice versa) so it won’t be surprising if it conforms with the norm.

Fine Dining?

There’s also the question of whether the restaurant will be a fine dining, especially when it’s housed in a luxurious nine-storey building.

But if it were to pay homage to Anthony’s Pier 4, it will likely be a spot where everyone could enjoy great food and great people. Until it debuts or at least there is more
