This off the beaten path restaurant is a true gem of a find. It is eclectic with its crystal blue swimming pool, tiki bar and classic Florida-style restaurant.
The restaurant sits next to a marina which is an unlikely spot to be sure, but for Ozona Blue – it adds to the character of the place. If you don’t want that traditional dining experience (you know, sitting at a table on the porch or inside a building) – you can choose a table out on the deck, sit under the tent-like cover or to dine pool-side. The cheerful staff are quick with service and offer their insights into the menu choices.
With a Palm Harbor address – Ozona Blue really is part of Ozona – a artsy/eclectic area within Palm Harbor Florida. Locals come by boat, car, foot or even golf cart – it is just that kind of place.
The food is spectacular too – they prepare guacamole tableside, it’s fresh and delicious. The Margarita flatbread is so delicious, we get it to share but sometimes…I have to admit I don’t share. Last time I was there I had the Calamari which is a favorite of mine and it was crispy and delicious. Their dipping sauce is mellow with a hint of spice. I also had the blackened fish tacos, another dish I order frequently, and they were absolutely wonderful.
Drinks – I had an absolutely wonderful bloody mary on this last visit and my girls each had a Shirley temple which they loved. They sat out by the pool while we waited for our food and later we all watched the fish swimming around the sea wall which was more fun than it sounds.
Ozona Blue brings in music on weekends and more frequently during the summer months – people often come to watch the sunset.
