One quirky thing to note about dining in Rockport is the fact that the town was a dry town up until April of 2005. Therefore, you are not likely to find bars or pubs in Rockport. However, you can expect to now be able to order an alcoholic beverage with your meal.

Flav’s Red Skiff

Flav’s Red Skiff is a top restaurant for seafood. This little place is always packed and can get noisy. Therefore, this is a perfect place to stop for lunch or dinner if you have the kids along with you. This place is a must visit for the tourist crowd.

Roy Moore Lobster Company

Roy Moore Lobster Company is a great place to go to if you love lobster. This place also sells its catch so you can take some lobsters home with you if that is what you prefer. Get the boiled lobsters or other fresh shellfish and you won’t be disappointed.

Top Dog

Top Dog is a great little place for a quick lunch. It is located right along the beach and they serve an assortment of hotdogs and other tasty treats. Many people who visit this small stand rave about the deep fried clams. You’ll be pleased to know that the prices are very reasonable as well.

I would be remiss if I did not mention a local to Rockport, fantastic seafood Restaurant. Woodman’s of Essex is famous and close to Rockport (15-20 min,, Approximately 10 miles). I posted about it last year in my article, Landmark Seafood Restaurants. It is worth a look by you right now. You will not be disappointed.

Rockport has a lot to offer when it comes to dining options. With a little time and research, eating out in Rockport can be an extremely pleasurable dining experience.
