Seafood from the Amalfi Coast

A Great Area for Seafood

3rd is our Three-Part Italian Series

The Amalfi Coast consists of lots of fishermen who bring their catches to nearby restaurants. Hence, there are a lot of places in Amalfi Coast that serves fresh seafood. Here are some of the seafood you’ll find at Amalfi Coast:

Lobster
Perhaps one of the most expensive seafood on this list is lobster. It’s worth it though because how it tastes. Lobster is actually served in a spaghetti form at the Signora Clelia at Bar Mare. However, you must be patient as the menu changes each day. It really depends on what the fishermen bring. Once they bring fresh seafood, the chefs will decide what to do with them. It’s a nice concept and they cook right in front of you too.

Calamari
Fried squid is a great snack especially when they’re paired when French fries. At Ristorante il Pirata, they take it to a whole new level because they have Totani e Patate. Based on the name alone, it’s a dish that’s loaded with potatoes and calamari. The restaurant has great service too. They even give you rugs when it gets cold at night.

Snapper
One of the fishes that frequently get caught by fishermen in these areas is the snapper. At Next 2 Outside, it’s served with seasonal greens and spring pea puree. The Filetto di dentice, agretti e pisellie is actually one of their best sellers. It’s one of the reasons why a lot of people go to dine at this restaurant.

You’ll satisfy your taste buds in more ways than one when you eat those amazing recipes in any of those restaurants. Of course, you can’t blame yourself if you crave for them again as they’re extremely addicting. AMonsoonlso, it would be an awesome idea to sit down at the aforementioned restaurants for hours while drinking wine with friends.
