Easy To Prepare Recipe

It’s All About the Sauce!

Whatever seafood you want or have on hand can be used to prepare this delectable creamy seafood dish. Slices of white fish, scallops, or even crab substitute for the luxurious and rich combination of shrimp and lobster in this recipe. Use the protein you already have on hand or opt for your preferred aquatic source. Just a short time is spent marinating the seafood, so start around an hour before cooking.

 

● ¼ cup butter
● ¼ cup flour (all-purpose)
● ½ tsp salt
● 1 ½ cups milk
● Dry sherry, to taste
● 3 tbsp ketchup
● Paprika, to taste
● Dash of Worcestershire sauce
● 2 cans small shrimp, drained (6 oz.)

Directions
● Butter-sauté lobster, scallops, and shrimp.
● Add paprika
● Transfer seafood to a warming dish or a crock pot set to low.
● To deglaze the pan, add sherry to a hot sauté pan and boil it vigorously.
● Add seafood
● Flour and butter should be heated in a pot over medium heat while being whisked together until smooth and frothy.
● Pour in half a cup of milk while you slowly whisk it in.
● Slowly whisk in the cream while the mixture is thickening.
● 3 to 5 minutes.
● (Add water to thin it out or cook it longer for a richer sauce.  Add salt and cayenne pepper to taste.
● Stir after pouring over the heated seafood.
● Serve with toast, saltine or other crackers, or linguini.

Make this delicious dish for a special occasion. It’s ideal for dinner on Valentine’s Day. You can reduce the amount for a smaller serving or use the entire recipe and enjoy the leftovers.

The dish has a creamy sauce that reminds you of a shrimp or lobster Newburg. It tastes great with rice, noodles, split buttered biscuits, or toast points.
