Shell & Bones

Oyster Bar and Grill

Waterfront Dining At Its Best

Shell & Bones Oyster Bar and Grill

The interior features Cobalt blue, white and sand colors, and there is a brass bar with mounted ship lights as well. And this is just inside the restaurant. Outside, there’s seating arrangement on the deck for up to 80 people.

Shell & Bones is spacious and opulent, with floor-to-ceiling windows that provide stunning views of New Haven Harbor. There is seating arrangement for 120 people, with chairs and bars with saddle-colored leather upholstery. You will find a certain coziness in the environment, thanks to a gas fireplace and dimly glowing overhead lights. Typically you will find the place filled with couples as well as sharply dressed executives.

At the center of the main dining is a huge U-shaped brass bar on which attractive colored bottles are displayed. You can have craft beers, wines and even specialty cocktails at the bar in the range of $6 and $13.

Then there is an large selection of appetizers featuring mussels, oysters, scallop and shrimp ceviche. You can also go for serrano ham croquettes and steak frites.

All in all, Shell and Bones is an amazing place for drinking and dining in New Haven. It is open from 4 to 10 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 11 AM to 11 PM on Fridays and Saturdays and from 11:30 AM to 10 PM on Sundays. If you’re planning on a  weekend visit, making a reservation is highly recommended.
