The Florida Panhandle is the unofficial term for the northwest part of the state of Florida surrounded by Alabama, Georgia, and the gulf of Mexico. It is better known for its quaint beach towns and family friendly attractions and adventures.

There is no shortage of things to do because of its proximity to the ocean. There are several notable beaches that are worth visiting including:

  • Panama City Beach
    Spend a day with your family combing through seashells and basking in the sun with a great view ahead.
  • Shell Island
    There are also several water activities including snorkeling with dolphins at Shell island or dolphin watching cruises.

  • The Emerald Coast
    also known as the Redneck Riviera, the coastline between Florida and Alabama.
  • St. Andrews State Park and Henderson Beach State Park…
    are also great beaches and have several walking and hiking trails.

    is home to some amazing fish and marine life.

If you are looking for family fun there are several attractions for your family such as theme parks.

These are just some of the notable ones. There’s also Shipwreck Island, which is a water park that is sure to provide lots of sun and family fun. The popular zoos and aquariums also provide fun for all ages.

In addition to the beaches, there are also several landmarks and popular tourist attractions including the National Naval Aviation Museum. The museum is home to over 4000 artifacts 150 aircraft from Navy Marine and Coast Guard Aviation. Whatever your interests, you are sure to find something to please all the members of your group of all ages.
